If you have any questions, suggestions, or if you've seen any behavior on the kink meme that violates the rules (e.g. kink-shaming, pairing-bashing, prompt-hijacking), please comment here. Comments will be screened so that I can be made aware of them sooner.

You can also PM me at [personal profile] riverdale_mod  or hit me up on tumblr where I've enabled anonymous asks.

Also, if you would like to avoid anon-failing, drop me a comment here and I'll drop the ban hammer to help with that.

A non-prompt fic post?

I find that the fandom can be fairly hostile towards non-conventional ships. Perhaps there could be a page where you can post fics that you've written without a prompt anonymously.

Either that or it could be allowed on the normal prompt post.

I just posted a fill but pressed Enter before putting my header I apologize! If you remove it, I can try again or if you can edit it, either way!

a question about anonymity

Is it okay to mention what other (anonymously-posted) fills you've written on the meme, or would that violate the meme's anonymity policy? (I totally understand if it's not allowed -- I just wanted to check in and avoid any future mistakes on this count.)

I'm concerned about banning fetishizing words or even a general 'no slurs' rule. While I personally wouldn't want to see a fill with certain slurs, I could also very well envision fills that did contain "slurs" of a sexual nature like shemale, since this is a kinkmeme. What happens if someone asks for trans!woman Jughead, humiliation and degradation kink? Is the author then bound to not include a word that felt TOO degrading to that one anon? What about the meme's policy that depiction isn't endorsement?

Granted, there we are talking about fills, not prompts as it was in this case. But presumably someone annoyed by that language in a prompt would be just as annoyed if they saw it in a fill. And in this case, we're talking about a word that usually gets used in a sexual/fetishizing way, being applied in a space that some people are going to use to explore sex and fetishizing.

I wouldn't want to see most racial slurs here. I wouldn't want to see something like "tranny," which doesn't have a specific kink meaning and is mostly used to degrade non-sexually (as I've experienced it). But that's the thing -- everyone is going to have their own personal list of the "slurs" that are slurs and the slurs that are fine. That anon's insistence that shemale is obviously and only a slur against trans people isn't shared by everybody. What happens when we meet an anon who thinks 'slut' is a slur? Or 'trailer trash'? Both of which have already been used in fics on the meme.

At bottom, I think enforcing anything that bans certain words (and particularly those words with a fetishizing or sexual connotation) is going to be a nightmare. This needs to be a scroll at your own risk place.

I've seen prompts with language and setup that I'm not into. I'm not into the idea of the Andrews as killers who murder Grundy and FP. I could certainly have posted a response to that accusing the OP of hating women and/or people with addictions. I didn't. I realized that somebody else's narrative framing or word choice on a kinkmeme was probably not indicative of their real world values and even if it was it wasn't my business, and scrolled on. But what happens when you say, "no slurs allowed," and someone fills that using "bitch," and then you have anons complaining that the fill used a slur?

If there are going to be rules about what words people can use, they need to be clear and they need to have end limits. They need to be explicitly limiting language in the prompts, not the fills. And ideally they only ban specific words, not blanket bans that would lead to a slippery slope.

Not AYRT. Sorry if this sounds silly, I just wanted to ask. Would, for example, a word like "futanari" be allowed in the stead of that which the OP chose? Or is that also transphobic? (Have seen it being used on other memes for years, that's why I'm asking.)

Also, if you're planning to implement the no slurs rule, it would be immensely helpful, especially for us ESL anons, if you could provide a list of what is considered to be a slur on here. I know of several, but sometimes a word has connotations that I'm simply not aware of. Now I'm not planning on throwing slurs around here, but, unfortunately, some insensitive language can always slip through the cracks.

(Only including this link because I asked for a list and this is one I've personally always referred to:
